A story of passion, resilience and a genuine love for Caribbean food.
Originally from Luton, Donessa built DRKDSH from the ground up, developing a loyal customer base and reputation for generous portions, bold flavour layering and authentic Caribbean cooking. After moving to Wellingborough, Donessa made the decision to build again - starting from scratch, in a place with no established customer base or existing network.
Through consistency, knowledge, quality and commitment, DRKDSH grew once again, with customers returning time and time again and a growing collection of highly rated reviews shown across Google, Facebook, Instagram highlights and Deliveroo.
The journey has given Donessa more than a food business. It has given her real, hands-on knowledge of Caribbean cooking, flavour layering, menu and recipe development, portioning pricing and creating plates that people genuinely want to come back for.
